Why We Built This Site
Texas offers several public access routes, but no single Cameron County office owns the whole record trail. The sheriff holds jail and booking material. District and county clerks keep filed charges, judgments, and dispositions. Texas Department of Public Safety maintains the statewide repository, while TDCJ and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry answer separate custody and registration questions. We organize official contacts, request paths, fee details, and search links by custodian.

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to any Texas court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Its limits include:

- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
Only the issuing sheriff, court clerk, or Texas Department of Public Safety can provide an official copy. We can identify the custodian but cannot issue the document.
